The motor home up for auction is a one owner, pride of ownership 2002 39' WIDE BODY (102") JAYCO AVATAR rear 7.2 liter Catapillar 330hp diesel pusher with less than 11,000 original miles. Make no mistake about it, this is not a Cummins 5.9 liter, it is the 330hp, 7.2 liter big block CAT. JAYCO has been in the business of building recreational vehicles for years. Knowledgeable buyers purchased the AVATAR for the behind the scenes quality....the insulation, wiring, the fabrics and foam, durability, safety, fit and finish...the list goes on. Basically what I'm saying is, it's not only what you see, it's what you don't see that makes a great motor home. This one boasts just slightly over 10,000 original miles....it's just getting broken in. Using the Freightliner 27,910lb air ride chassis, it's made to withstand 100,000's of thousands of miles.
The all steel framing, smooth sided gel coated fiberglass, one piece fiberglass roof, front and back fiberglass caps, wiring, insulation and design all makes for a coach that will last for years. The Avatar also uses a upgraded 50 amp AC power service. This means if you are using the coach on shore power, all appliances can be run simultaneously. Of course the quiet 7.5 kw Onan super quiet diesel generator will easily power the central air, microwave and more. Options also include a Heart 2000 watt inverter that can be used to operate the microwave and tv's from the 4 deep cycle 6 volt batteries.
With only 10,338 original miles, this coach is excellent condition throughout. I've personally had this one out on the road and with 6 like new Michelin radial tires and air ride suspension, it's a runner. We have inspected all major systems and they are functioning properly, but please, third party inspections are welcomed (at buyer expense naturally).
Check out the sleek styling of the Avatar diesel pusher. One thing that you will really love is the two fuel tank fills. You can see one of the fills if you look closely behind the front wheel and the other is in the same location on the passenger's side. No matter what side you pull up to the pumps, you're really to fuel.
Talk about basement storage....full basement storage with bus style cargo doors doors, there's plenty and it's pass through. The lights are activated when the compartment doors are opened.
The Avatar has a total of 7 top quality encased Carefree awnings all the way around. The main awning is the One Touch...with the push of a button the awning opens. There is also three window awnings, one door awning and two slideout awnings. All the awning hardware is a beautiful champagne anodized aluminum that matches the paint.
The comfortable cockpit is equipped with easy reachable driver friendly instrumentation. Back up monitor is built into the dash.
Powered by a dependable 330hp turbo 7.2 Catapillar, an Allison World 6 speed automatic transmission, 6 like new Michelin 255 80R x 22.5" radial tires and air suspension, it's a dream to drive. In its pride of ownership condition (non smoker, no pets), this is truly an open road coach. Meant to take you to your destination in the lap of luxury.
Both the super comfortable 6-way power driver's and passenger's Ultraleather seats can be turned to the living area. Floor to ceiling height is 80 inches.
The front lounge area is equipped with a full sofa/sleeper and a Ultraleather love seat. Remember this coach is 102" wide body and gives you that extra room. +++Please note that the lighting makes the carpet appear to be off color or dirty. The carpet is different in the slideout.+++

Front lounge love seat does not make into a sleeper. Even in all of it's dual slide, 39' glory, most folks feel this is a 2 person coach, although it's designed to comfortably sleep 4. As one retired rv'er told me, "cocktails for 6, dinner for 4 and it sleeps 2.
Dinning room table seats 2, but has an extra leaf that stores with in the table.
The kitchen is very functional and has loads of counter space and storage. The use of Corian counter tops throughout, makes for easy clean up. The sink and stove top are inserted with custom cut pieces of Corian...great for entertaining.
In the business, motor homes like this Avatar are referred to as ‘stand up units’, ‘ cream puffs’ or just plain ‘sweet’. What that really means to you is, this one is extra clean inside and out, non-smoking, no pets, hasn’t been used as a full time live aboard and most importantly, well maintained. Once again we will not hesitate for third party inspections at the buyers expense.

Looking back toward the bath and bedroom areas. The interior of this coach shows very little wear. On a scale of 1-10, it's a 9+ and that's only because it's pre owned.

Queen island slideout bedroom suite is one of the nicest I've seen. It is hard to see in this picture, but the black square on the side of the bed is a CD player, AM-FM stereo.
Large mirrored wardrobe, built-in dresser, ceiling fan and 20" color tv....just like home.
Even a laundry drawer!!!
Spacious center bath has plenty of cabinet space and lights.
Large corner shower with sky light. No problem for those who are over 6 feet tall.

The Jayco Avatar is a rare, hard to find coach...check the internet, there are never more than a few for sale. Especially at the reserve price we have set for this beautiful unit. Quality built with all custom maple cabinetry and one of the most sought after floor plans. Rear island queen bedroom suite, with spacious center bath. This floor plan gives privacy for both the owner and the guest. Up front you have a comfortable sofa/sleeper, Ultraleather love seat and dinning table. The kitchen is very functional and has great counter space and storage. The Jayco Aratars are also prized for their durable construction and timeless styling. In the interior, using plush fabrics and carpeting, custom window treatments ceramic tile kitchen and hall floors, Corian counter tops, quality maple cabinetry and top of the line appliances, gives you the feel of ultimate luxury. We have inspected all major systems and they are functioning properly, but please, third party inspections are welcomed (at buyer expense naturally).
???VALUE???
My personal opinion is that one could not duplicate the interior for less than the reserve price, let alone add the shell, the appliances and a drive train. The truth is, as with most pre owned motor homes, the parts are worth more than the whole coach. That is why a highline coach becomes such a terrific deal as they get older. The value just to park the Avatar on your property as a guest house or your private retreat is something to think about....but is also so much more.
FYI
Before I list the options and features, please let me add that if you are considering the purchase of this or any motor home and you’re the average American who works hard for their money…. remember, RV’s never appreciate in value. Doesn’t mean you can’t sell one for more than you paid for it. But as a rule of thumb, their value is constantly falling. NADA Book comes out 3 times a year and very rarely does an RV ever go up in value and the newer they are the faster the values falls. In my opinion, this means the less you spend, the happier you’ll be!
When new, the original owner spent almost $200,000 for this coach. It has now depreciated almost 50% of it’s original value in less than 3 years….and that hurts. But on the bright side, it now can be owned and driven with less depreciation. Price a new highline diesel pusher today and then take the down payment, tax and license dollars and bid on this beauty.

This coach is a basement style RV and provides plenty of exterior storage for those that can't leave home without the kitchen sink. CONDITION REPORT
I buy and inspect 100's of motor homes a year and feel I have a very realistic idea of what is good condition and what is not. The Avatar, with a little over 10,000 miles, it has been hardly used and definitely not abused. It is a local West Coast coach and has no rust. It is extra clean inside and out, with no funny interior odors. All appliances are meticulous clean and in working order. As I stated before...the running condition is excellent.
THINGS THAT ARE JUST NOT RIGHT
1. On the back of the coach there is small bit of paint that has pealed off. (Pic1)
2. In the entry way there is a small red dye spot on the carpet. (Pic2)
3. The roof next to the main awning has a small dent in it, but does not leak. (Pic3) (Pic4)
OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING WORKS!!! In other words...It's ready to camp. Please keep in mind, like every other 3 year old motor home the Avatar is not 100% flawless, but it is very very respectable...and for the reserve price we have set, it's a STEAL. Another thing I would like to humbly add...Even though I have been selling motorhomes for over 14 years, diesel pushers are not my expertise. Everyday I learn something new....so if I missed something, I will try to make it right. Once again we will not hesitate for third party inspections at the buyers expense.
WHAT IS THE RESERVE?
THE LIST PRICE, WHEN NEW, OF THIS BEAUTIFUL COACH WITH OPTIONS WAS $195,871.00. WE HAVE SET THE RESERVE AT JUST OVER 50% OF THIS FORE MENTIONED NUMBER. KEEP IN MIND, MOTOR HOMES WITH THESE OPTIONS ARE HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!!! DON'T LET THIS BE THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY!
